Was in for dinner on Saturday night before a show, 2 of us had the macaroni cheese, one had scampi and the other had gammon steak. Food was absolutely perfect, so well presented and delicious, excellent portion sizes too. Have been a few times and the quality and service never disappoints. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.less
Nice chips, nice staff, but over-priced and I wasn't confident that I was eating something vegan. I had checked before booking whether there was anything vegan on the menu, and was told that the server would explain the options on the night. The menu had several dishes marked as having gluten-free options but nothing market as vegan, so I did have to ask the staff member. I was told that the soup, tempura, macaroni cheese or burger could be made with vegan-friendly alternatives. I chose the burger. But what came was not the promised beetroot burger, but something that reminded me of a frozen supermarket burger that I wouldn't even have scraped the barrel to have for dinner at home. When asked whether everything was ok, I said that it wasn't a beetroot burger, and was advised they had 'changed suppliers'. The bun was also a bit yellow and crispy, so I suspected it was brioche and by assumption contained egg. I didn't want to make any more fuss and spoil our evening so I just ate it. The pricing structure is pleasantly simple - one course is £16. But if you are having the vegeburger, then this doesn't feel great value.less
